Types of Wedding Guest Dresses

There is a wide range of dresses you can choose from for an upcoming wedding.

The first option is a maxi dress (my personal favorite). Maxi dresses are long and flowy, typically extending down to the ankles. They have a more relaxed and bohemian feel, making them a popular choice for outdoor spring or summer weddings. They're all around super comfortable to wear and easy to move around in.

Body-con dresses are form-fitting and designed to accentuate the shape of your body. They hug your silhouette, showcasing your bump beautifully. They have a more chic and modern look, making them suitable for weddings at a more formal venue.

Moving on, we have midi dresses. These fall to the mid-calf, finding a balance between short and long. They're super versatile and can adapt to various occasions based on how you style it. For a dressier appearance, opt for heels, a clutch, and elegant jewelry. But if you're aiming for a more laid-back style, pair with sneakers or sandals and a tote bag.

If you're one to show off your legs, opt for a mini dress. These are short and hit above the knee. They have a very playful and young look, making them great for a small casual wedding.

Lastly, we have a-line dresses. They are similar to maxi dresses, but they have a  slightly more fitted bodice that flares out from the waist. This is a great option if you love to show off the top part of your body like your waist or chest.

Each dress comes with its own advantages, so it truly depends on your personal preferences. Whether you're aiming for comfort, a contemporary vibe, or a classic and timeless look, there's a dress style to suit every occasion and your unique style preferences.

Accessorizing your Dress

Accessorizing your maternity dress is key when it comes to completing your outfit. You should consider a few things before such as your personal style and the vibe of the wedding.

If it's a more formal wedding, opt for delicate jewelry, a clutch, and statement heels to add that extra oomph. For more relaxed or outdoor weddings, go for boho-inspired accessories like a head scarf or vintage earrings. Handy tip: bring an extra pair of sneakers towards the end of the night. Thank me later!

Dresses For Every Season

There are so many factors at play when choosing your wedding guest dress for each season!

For Spring, opt for pastel colors or floral prints. Make sure to choose lightweight fabrics like chiffon or lace! If we had to choose, we would go for a midi or maxi dress!

In the Summer, aim for light breathable materials like linen or silk. Maxi dresses or sundresses in a bright summer color is ideal, paired with sandal or wedge heels!

Fall is a tough one because it's that in-between phase of Summer and Winter. To make it easy, go for earthy tones to match the autumn aesthetic. Long sleeve body-con dresses such as the Focus on Me Pointelle Midi Dress is a perfect example! Finish it off with closed toe heels!

Last but not least, Winter. Long sleeved, full-length dresses or midi dresses is the way to go! Make sure your dress is made from heavier fabrics like velvet or satin to keep you warm. Pair it with your favorite rich-looking jewelry and a cozy shawl.

Conclusion

We hope you were able to find a dress that resonated with you!

When picking out your dress, think about your style, the wedding's vibe, and most importantly, your comfort. And don't forget to accessorize - it makes or breaks the whole look!
